Tempus Fugit was released by Alessandra Adelaide Needleworks (AAN) earlier this year and I and a few other members of the Facebook group were lucky enough to be accepted along when Alessandra put a call out for model stitchers. I chose Tempus Fugit from the designs available.
I started in the middle with this design and I had a little chuckle when I saw a whale emerging.
I need to get better at taking update photos as there were only a couple for this piece!
The majority of the design is stitched with DMC threads but the red stitches and french knots are done in a sparkly kreinik. If you don’t get on with french knots or metallic thread you may want to try colonial knots or do the french knots in a nice deep red stranded cotton. There are also Mill Hill beads on this which I attached using invisible thread which seems to have gone walkabouts since this project was finished.
Oh my goodness! French knots are bad enough, but in Kreinik? You rock!!
