I was buying some yarn for a project and was only one ball away from free delivery (why not get an extra ball instead of paying £2 just to have it delivered). I came across Stylecraft’s Cabaret and instantly fell in love with the colourway Macaw!
To be honest, I was a bit wary of the more sandy shade in there, I thought it would distract from the more vibrant colours but it actually worked with the other colours well. I had decided it would be perfect for a pattern I had saved in my Ravelry library for some time, the Chi-Town Crochet Cowl by CrochetBird. The pattern was quick to work up and easy to get into a rhythm with, I can see more in my future!
Before crocheting the ends together I decided to add a little twist into the crochet rather than it just being straight. Whilst, working on it I discovered I was allergic to the red dye in this yarn (I’ve worked with other Stylecraft red yarns without issue) so although I love the end product, it will be gifted to someone who can give it the love it deserves!
