I bought some gorgeous 100% cotton woven fabric from Coalville Fabrics that is in the style of a comic book strip with “pop” words that you would see in superhero comics.
I thought it would be nice as a skirt but don’t often wear prints so was cautious. I decided to do an Instagram poll and turning it into a pencil skirt was the winning outcome.
This is the bonus variation of Seamwork’s Christina. It has pockets in the side seam and welt pockets on the back as well as a vent.
The welt pockets nearly didn’t go on but I decided to challenge myself to do them anyway. They are by no means perfect and would need more practice but overall, I am happy.
The skirt has a nice fit although I’ll have to re-measure as it’s a perfect fit around the lower half but sits a little funny over my “apron”. I did have some difficulty with the instructions but would be willing to try another Seamwork pattern.
